Peter has very great power but not as much as Lampley tried to hype it and he will not beat Vitali.

Indeed. Many people are hyping Peter as the second coming of Tyson, but I don't think he has the same crisp and dynamite in his punches like Tyson.

Tyson was definitely more skilled, but Peter does have a good eye for where to throw his punches. He needs to work on timing some, though. I forget who it was who said it, but you have to throw where you know the opening is coming, because if you throw when you see it, you're throwing too late.

indeed the best boxers have intuition, it is a "sixth sense" in the ring.

aren't you guys the least bit excited that we have a new heavy on the scene with potential? sure he isnt a world beater yet but the guy looks more promising than anything ive seen in a long time, he is green but ill put him in right dam now with anybody not named vitali and ill put my money on peter to win. he kayo's ruiz brewster and byrd RIGHT now if he fought them. and dont say byrd is too slick, he has slowed down considerably, peter would kill mccline and would destroy byrd like ike did. i think this guy could be the one to clean out the pretenders and set up a mega fight with vitali in 2006

Indeed he does show tremendous promise and does add excitement to the weakening division. What do you think his chances are against Golota and Toney right now?

toney gives him trouble, but can toney take those punches? i dont know, golota would either get kayoed savagely or quit, he cant take the heat against a big hitter, he has shown that in the lewis, tyson and grant fights

Yeah, I gotta say, I would like to see him fight the other guys, I think there's no doubt he'd ko Ruiz and Brewster, probably Byrd too, as he seems to think he can just stand in front of anybody anymore, hopefully he'll stay active so he can get some good fights down the line.

seriously people, the guy is only 24 years old, he pumps new blood into the division, get behind him, he will be around for a while, all the other so cld prospects are in their 30's. be optimistic.

i'm a huge james toney fan...

if i'm remembering correctly he's never been knocked out - the few times he's lost he's lost by decision... he's probably too old now but he's an amazing boxer.
