We're going to see what happens when a guy that based his career fighting bums faces a guy that got to the top the old fashion way of fighting veterans and former champions

Brooks don't like pressure and likes to fight at a pace. Porter got this unless Brooks can hurt him.
Brooks hasn't fought anybody close to Porter. I hope Brooks don't pull out of the fight

If this fight becomes a war, Porter will win. And I think it is going to be a tough physical fight, not a chess match.
Styles make fights, and Porter is adept at not fighting in the range that Brook fights at. Brook has good reach and makes excellent use of it leaning out. Brook's defense also largely depends on his offense, use combos to stop the other guy from punching. But, his speed is flat out average, but he has timing.
Porter will not be at the range Brook will want him at, and then we'll see what Brook can do. Brook doesn't use his feet much, he's never had to since he's only fought tomato cans, yet he does have a decent upper cut, that may potentially spoil some of the ambush tactics.
Brook hasn't been exposed to much variety or difficulty, while Porter has shown he can handle two slick boxers. I genuinely think Alexander outboxing Brook was a possibility.
I wonder how much Brook is cursing having this fight instead of the Alexander one? I want Porter to win, because then he will fight Thurman. If Brook wins, sigh. That belt will disappear into the UK where Brook will fight decent/mediocre domestic fighters. Brook sure won't be fighting Thurman next.
I'm pretty sure Porter will win, and I might wager some money on it. Lets see what the bookies think.Last edited by BrokenHat; 06-06-2014, 08:22 PM.
