I think the fight was pretty even. Mosley threw and landed mores hots, vargas landed the more powerful blows. Vargas looked quite slow and the way he was bending and lunging forward was awkward. Mosley does not have the punch to fight at 154. Mosley vs. Mayweather at 147 would be an interesting fight. Too bad Vargas' eye (along with his temple) swelled up like a watermelon, he was fighting a pretty good fight.

It's good that they stop fights.. But to a certain extent.. I mean no one wants to hear about a death of a boxer because of all the punishment he took in his last fight... There just trying to keep the boxers health in good condition..

I did'nt watch the fight but im assuming Mosley caught him plenty of times to make his eye that bad.. Vargas defence probaly wasn't as good as before?

I thought Vargas was getting stronger midway through the fight. But Shane dominated the early rounds, and the stoppage was a good one. I mean, Vargas's **** started to look like Rahmans after the 8th round. Vargas got a lot of respect from me, he kept on getting hit in that mutha***in eye, and kept on coming. Don't really know where this puts these two in the world of top flight 154 fighters, but I give props to both.

I was disappointed with the outcome. It is not like Mosley was winning by a huge margin. I don't think the loser should have to go to FNF. A rematch is definitely in order.
