Froch shouldn't openly duck fighters like that.

If I fought a guy 3 years ago and lost convincingly, and I went on a nice win streak and the collision course brings me back to the number one guy again who beat me convincingly 3 years prior, and I say "nah I'm not fightin him" It doesn't sit well with me. If it's okay by you then that's you. Maybe I got too much pride.
I get that you're saying a rematch can be a duck, but really only if the first fight was controversial. Froch refusing to rematch Groves would have been an epic duck.

Ward beat Froch without significant controversy (by boxing standards). Froch wants one or two more big fights then retirement and Ward is not that popular and Froch openly gave him credit for winning.

I'd personally like to see them fight though so I don't mind calling them duckers just to put the pressure on, but it's not really true when neither one is pursuing the other and there's mutual disinterest.

Unless Ward has been calling him out? I would have been unaware

How can something so simple not register or cross your mind. Why is it I had to explain this? That's concerning.
How often does the loser duck the rematch... usually it's the winner

If you want to talk about ducking, worry about the fights you haven't seen - and there are plenty of them.
Time has elapsed, and their paths have crossed again. Their success has brought them onto a 2nd collision course. It's not like they fought sixth months ago.

I know, this is a rarity.

Ward needs to travel before I get interested in this rematch

                  I don't agree

Only one person has had an upward trajectory and that's Froch. Ward has um...Goosen and Rodriguez as his only opponents in like 2 years. Ward hasn't had a solid win in almost three years

Ward needs to build himself up, fight some "domestic" fights, maybe ask to get on a Froch undercard and put himself in a position to fight in front of 80k people on PPV.

                  If not, Oakland is calling

Would it be a duck on Ward's part if he didn't want to travel to the UK for the rematch?

I see what you're saying but Ward is still touted P4P King, even with the stale career. And champions are gonna fight in their back yard because that's what they do. I don't see nothing wrong with that, 95% of them do that or they go to Vegas.
