Froch shouldn't openly duck fighters like that.

Agree that ward needs to go over to frochs backyard. Frochs the money man now, even if Andre is the better fighter

as for froch making a ton of money in vegas fighting chavez, i have a hard time believing that he'll make much more than he made against groves in the rematch.

chavez career high payday was a ppv against martinez. it sold decently well. chavez got a three million dollar guarantee.

ward himself is one of the highest rated HBO fighters, and receives basically the maximum HBO payday [two million.] he's never been on ppv.

the major appeal with the chavez fight is that it's an easy opponent. i can't see him making more against chavez in vegas than he did in england against groves in the rematch.

i actually can't find exact figures for purses after the froch - groves rematch. i'm led to believe that it's a very high number, but i can't get it pinned down with a concrete source.
I would say you were exactly the same, actually. At least in my experience, you are. I'm British but I would support Ward against Froch as I'm a fan of Wards. I respect both guys as they're tremendous fighters.

Froch earnt a fortune for the Groves rematch so why wouldnt he want some more of that against Chavez? Ward still needs to get his situation sorted and actually state what he is intending to do. Froch isnt just going to wait for that and see a £10mil plus payday go begging.

I also think people, boxing fans here, take things fighters say too literally at times. Froch has said a thousand times that he wants to fight Ward again, yet he says he's not interested right now once, and everyone goes ape **** and takes it seriously. Froch talks a hell of a lot too!

        but on to the topic...

Many of you like a grunt like Froch because you think you can identify with him....lol...well get this...

He is CONTENT with being a DISTANT #2 to Andre Ward...completely and shamelessly resigning himself from going for Glory...

for himself AND his lacking Boxing nation...

It's pathetic...and those of you who are defending it have no idea how bad that makes you look...

Britain's top fighter is happy with being 2nd Rate...if you had ANY personal familiarity with Greatness, you would be HATING him for this...

but you don't have any...you are literally aspiring to be average Joes.
        Lmfao...too funny. A "Bridiot." That's classic .

According to this faulty logic, if Froch fights Ward 13 times but refuses a 14th fight it's a duck.

The only ways you can be guilty of ducking someone you've fought is if you've (a) waited for the fighter to age and lose form before fighting him, or (b) won a controversial fight and refused a rematch. Clearly, Froch did neither. Otherwise you can only be guilty of ducking someone by refusing to ever fight them, the way Bowe did Lewis, Stevenson did Kovalev, and Mayweather did Margarito, Williams, Pacquiao, and Martinez at 150.

Not that black and white really. It would be a 2nd fight and 3 years have passed since the 1st fight. If Froch loses this 2nd fight he can pack it in and then say "I don't want to fight Ward." Then I could see his stance on it.

For example everyone is praying to god Marquez doesn't accept a fifth with Pacquiao, and not screaming duck @ that.

So there's definitely a grey area here, provided the circumstances. Chief.

How can you duck some you've already fought and lost to? That is straight up ******ed. If Froch had won and Ward felt hard done by, got better or had something else to prove then this would be a duck but Froch lost! If there was a rematch we ALL know exactly how it would go. So why bother? Because Froch makes bank? Not his fault the Son Of God is an inactive borefest. Id sooner watch Froch Groves 3 over Ward at this point. For his next fight it has to be Chavez Jr. Then retirement fight MAYBE try avenge his loss if he actually believes he can do it? Otherwise Kessler 3, Jean Pascal 2, Hopkins (?) or James De Gale.

When you have far more lucrative options on the table, it's not a duck.

Since losing to Ward, Froch has gone on to make himself an International Superstar. It's as simple as that.

Whilst Pauper Ward has sat on the sidelines sucking lemons and making **** money. It's a sad state of affairs when the top guy at 168lbs is making less than an ugly ginger British kid.

Ward should do his part and become a star in America the way Froch has in the UK or make concessions and say he'll come to England and take the shorter purse.

I value Froch's honesty over the idea of playing games. No point beating around the bush, he doesn't want none and who can blame him. He's already fought Ward, the better man is clearly established - let it fucking go.
