It's not like he was tearing-up 154 and everyone wanted to see what he'd do at 160. It looks to me like Miguel topped out at junior middleweight. Did he beat Mayweather? Did he even come close? Now I'm supposed to believe Cotto beats the lineal middleweight champion of the world? And it's not like Martinez is some unskilled plodder. He's fast, he's slick and he has good power. I don't see this ending well for Miguel.
You make good solid points but during cotto's demise he was in between trainers and none could get the best out of him. I think roach is the difference in this fight but you did make solid points. I guess we'll see tomorrow.. can't wait!!

I've said this many times: Cotto is never in a dull fight. Whatever the outcome tomorrow, it should be good. (And it better be, I'm hosting a fight party. lol)

I'm telling you! I don't know what they are putting in the Kool-Aid around here but it seems a lot of folks are drinking it for this fight.

Martinez should win, he is great but he knows that chavez almost killed him with two punches and with no training, he shouldnt be talking about the chavez fight. Sergios face was a mess ane even worse, his knee was busted. All with two blows.

People fail to understand cotto early in his career was trained by his uncle who guided him to 31-0. After he had a nasty dispute with him, they split and you'll think he's paying hot potato with trainers because he never keeps/feels comfortable with any. With roach, you see glimpse of the 31-0, seek and destroy cotto. People are expecting the trout cotto, but they'll be shocked. In addition, when has a fredie trained fighter not put up a good fight? All of his fighters come to fight and put up great fights. Cotto by mid rounds tko
lol... Think about it... a month before cotto just whooped mosley... A month later ricky hatton loses to mayweather, then mayweather goes on to state that hes gonna retire cuz he has nothing left to prove... Larry merchant mentions miguel cotto and mayweather brushes it off. Then him and larry get into it, which larry merchant later on apologized to mayweather in a later fight. Check this, "we don't fight to see who's the best, we fight to make money."- Floyd Mayweather Jr. Right out of his own mouth. He ducked margarito and fought an old out of shape de la hoya instead. Cuz that fight would "make him more money".

Maravilla has exceptional power from odd angles, he's gonna do a number on Cotto, probably gonna stop him late in a sad affair for the Boricua champion. Luv Cotto, but he's in over his head in this one.
And storm off without an interview with his crying family..

Umm... Sorry but Cotto did not whoop Mosely. It was a close fight. De La Hoya 154 >>> Margarito 147.
