What I hope to be able to say about this fight is that despite all else Cotto once again showed how sublimely skilled he his. That will be the real joy if there is any. I don't expect him to win but I do expect him to surprise. Really hope he doesn't get caught by anything anticlimactic. That threat will be there all 36.

Cotto's power will surprise Martinez. If he starts believing all the hype about the size then it will be an early night for him.

Cotto is the hardest puncher he's faced in his last 5 fights. Chavez Jr might've weighed 16lbs more, but his technique is sloppy as hell. P.Will was a volume puncher. Martin Murray was a big middleweight, but he was not known for having knockout power. Sergio won't know what to expect on Saturday and that will be his downfall.

I think that says enough about his ability to take a shot. Don't think Cotto hits harder than Pavlik or Williams.

Smaller or not, Cotto is by far the best Martinez has ever faced. I don't wanna hear if Pavlik and Chavez couldn't hurt him how can cotto. . If you put both Pavlik and Chavez together it won't equal one cotto. With the exception of Chavez, all of roach's fighters come well prepared to fight. I hope Martinez is just promoting the fight dating he's going to knock cotto out and is prepare to fight a very tough fight

Cotto almost got dropped by a Floyd uppercut at 154. People keep talking about Cotto this and Cotto that but when Martinez connects with a flush power shot, how will he respond? I respect Cotto for taking this fight but he is going to be on his bicycle after the first big punch he gets hit with if it doesn't knock him out.

And this is what people don't realize, Cotto 's boxing ability and ring general ships are so superior to anybody that Martinez has fought is not even funny. Cotto will outbox Martinez and punish him to the body.
