This sounds like a case of being a little *****. He knows Ward is the best in the weight class so he doesn't want to fight him.Ward would out work Froch again I wasn't impressed with this win over Groves I seen froch get caught with some decent shots but Ward would win easy he won't fight him

Let's see. GGG is willing to go to 68 for Chavez Jr but not Ward.

His trainer said they'll make the fight when Ward is ready to negotiate on equal terms.

Froch has readily avenged the controversial Groves fight. He avenged Kessler and wants to fight him again. I'm sure he would have no issues reaching Dirrell, who some thought beat him. Yet has no interest in avenging his loss to Ward. From where I'm sitting, sounds like you support a couple duckin' f.ucks your damn self

He does have an interest, but the fans don't. Everyone wanted to see the Kessler and Groves rematches because the first fights were barnburners. No one wants to see a repeat of the Ward and Dirrell fights because they were boring. When a movie gets bad reviews, they don't usually make a sequel because generally no one wants to watch.

I really don't care about the financial part of it. I'm a former athlete and that's just how I'm built. If you beat me I wanna come back and beat you. That's just the way my mind thinks. Strickly from a competition standpoint, IMO Froch should be the one pushing for the rematch, not Ward. And to me not wanting the rematch speaks volumes about his true character as a man and fighter

Froch is closer to 40 than 30 with a wife and two kids. He has to make as much now because his career is one or two fights away from a close. He can milk some dough with wins over Chavez, Kessler and then go on to fight Ward.

Until Ward sorts out his legal issues, HBO is NOT going to back a pay-per-view. They have a strict company policy of not televising any fighter when there is a pending lawsuit between him and his promoter.

Since you were an 'athlete', you seem to assume what you believe how a fighter should be is how the general consensus should be all over the sport. That's an arrogant and ignorant idea overall.

You should commend Froch. Fighters normally make excuses after loses yet he admitted Ward beat him very convincingly. Like I said before here if Froch had won a bogus decision and then went on to avoid ward, you might actually have a point. Right now, you don't have a leg to stand on

If you want to talk about principles about how boxers should be like, you should be having a go at Ward for his still ongoing lack of enthusiasm fighting outside his hometown and his arrogance towards bigger draws such as Froch + other things

I'm with FROCH for the first time in my life!!! WARD-FROCH rematch is a BS,ANDRE beat him with one arm so with two arms healthy the fight will be a complete missmatch,perhaps WARD stop him in late rounds;now the point is ENOUGH IS ENOUGH...WARD has no more fights in this division ,he cleaned the division so he has to move up in weight like all other fighters that are so superior of their opponents do so far,there are plenty of fights in lightheavyweight division for WARD. FROCH has took the rematch all fans aked him for,so now it's his turn to chose what he has to do!!!

People are acting as if Froch wasn't chasing the Ward rematch after he got beat by him. I remember for a period of time the only words that would come out of Froch's mouth were "Kessler rematch" and "Ward rematch". Now correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it Ward who instead of choosing to rematch Carl looked at other options instead? I also remember that after the first Froch v Groves fight when Froch was looking at his options he mentioned Ward but Ward himself started trying to make a fight with Groves happen. Ward has been playing games with Froch ever since the first fight was done and dusted and IMO he is getting a taste of his own medicine now.
Froch is the number one draw in the division and he where the money is. Everybody knows Ward is a hard fight for Froch to win but come on guys...do any of you really think he is ducking him or scared to fight him?
Not to mention the legal issues Ward is having right now with his promoters or whatever the hell is going on. Can he even fight anybody yet? I feel sorry for Ward but not that much...the rematch with Froch was there for him to take for ages and he chose not to take it. Its his own fault that Carl wants to go where the money is now. Carl has earned his spot as the most lucrative fighter in the division because of the great fights he has been a part of time and time again

Froch vs Jr is by far a more interesting fight than Froch vs Ward. I can't wait!!

IBF/WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion Carl Froch sees no good reason to face Andre Ward, who holds the WBA's super title at 168, in a Las Vegas rematch. After drawing 80,000 fans to Wembley Stadium for his rematch win over George Groves, Froch wants to have a major fight in Las Vegas.

Ward holds a twelve round decision win over Froch from December 2011. But Froch views Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. as by far the more lucrative opportunity. Ward is not even being considered for Froch's next fight. If the Nottingham boxer is unable to get Chavez, then he will face either Mikkel Kessler in a trilogy bout or make a mandatory defense against James DeGale.

see...this is why I LOVE Carl Froch.....this what I was trying to get through to the Triple G dudes....it's not against the "TOUGH GUY" law to be honest and ADMIT that a fighter your size or around your size has the drop on you....or in Froch's words "has your number"

props to the Cobra for being honest and at the same time keeping his honor imo....Ward is a walking "L" for everyone from 160-175 imo....not a Ward fan, but I RESPECT him big time!!!
