Froch never said he doesn't want to fight Ward. He says he'd love to avenge the loss before he retires but there are bigger fights out there for him right now. Ward isn't a PPV fighter and he can't even fight right now because of his legal issues.
Wait a minute.. is Froch a PPV draw in America.

    • "Is that what he said? That he would knock me out? Well, a tiger does not lose sleep over the opinion of a sheep - and trust me, Adonis will be a lamb to the slaughter. I wish him no harm, but if he comes to fight then he will be blitzed in a handful of rounds. My opponents have two choices when they fight me. They can either run, hold, and take a decision or they can actually fight and get smashed up."

"With the greatest of respect, Adonis is not a fleet-footed fighter - he will come throwing those big bombs and we could have a nice little war, if it is him next and not Kessler. I do give Adonis respect, he has fought his way to the number one spot and as everyone knows, I avoid nobody. He has been vocal in demanding the fight, and that to me shows he has the appetite for it, which is to be commended. But he would get smoked. End of story."

      - Carl Froch

Once again, LOL@ the idea that Froch would duck Stevenson.

      • What ward should be doing; is to be active with boxing at all cost; popularity isn't won by just being good alone, he needs to give himself a chance and place himself favorable to luck by fighting all the time. Get busy and you increase your luck in life.

Hmmmm let's see here. Not only has Pac beaten JMM in the past. Not only was he in control of the fight when he was iced. He's come back and beaten a consensus P4P guy. The same one that beat JMM. Not only that, he would be favored over JMM if they fight again.

Let's compare that to Ward, who's beaten a then fringe P4P guy after beating Froch. Hasn't barely lost a round, let alone a fight. And would be a huge favorite to beat Froch in a rematch. See the difference ****** ass biotch.

Stevenson became his mandatory in October 2012, Froch fought Mack in November 2012. Stop lying.

A lot of these posters are hypocrites though. They'll defend Froch for this while at the same time they criticized Stevenson and Sergio and others for doing the exact same thing. Remember how they claimed to be REAL boxing fans not "businessmen and accountants?"

              Well look at them now.
Difference here is that Sergio and Froch earned their stripes the hard way. What about Stevenson? He's not even in the same mix.

No he's a PPV fighter in the UK and Chavez Jr fight would be HBO PPV. A duel PPV if you will.

Ward does not offer this option I'm afraid.

He was signed to fight Mack before George-Stevenson. Before Stevenson could even sweat a mandatory, he got an offer for Dawson and took it (a fight he said he had always been told to jump at). It wasn't like it was on the clock as a mando yet. This is a silly attempt at revisionist history.

Well it's clear, using the same logic, if Froch keeps fighting and Ward remains inactive, he'll not be #1 forever.
