It wont be Thurman. It's gonna be older fighters who have no future. Like Matthysse and whoever else they have.

Hopefully Golden Boy gets to choose and if not I hope they tell them to fk off.

he will probably still advise and negotiate their purses.

thurman said haymon advises some fighters and manages others.

thurman said haymon is his manager.

        Exactly!!

Contrary to what some may believe, Boxer's are assets to the promotional co. and since that is the case, this is a good move.

Unfortunately, adding another promotional big-dog to the mix may spur additional confusion to the conflict among rival promoters.

Can Haymon force them to sign with Golden Boy if he releases them if they were not previously tied to GBP. Just because Haymon gives them up how does that obligate anyone to go to Golden Boy, wouldn't they just be a free agent at that point?
Unless Oscar and Haymon work together with the fighter to make it mutually beneficial.

Al is a manager and adviser. My guess is those that he advises he will agree not to in a formal capacity. We don't even know who the fighters they are discussing are so lets wait and see.

With what is in this post-if it means al and schaeffer get their company up and running soon thats a good thing.

Good points. But its not the promoters IMO its the networks.

If HBO continues to ban Haymon fighters and TR refuses to have its fighters on SHowtime-then we are still stuck in the same morass with the exception of the TBD GBP fighters invovlved in the proposal in the tweet.

edwin rodriquez and chris arreola are advised by al haymon and both fought on hbo while they were.

"Espinoza was the lawyer for Golden Boy. I didn't like him when he was the lawyer for Golden Boy. I never trusted him. I didn't like dealing with him. And he's even worse now that he's at Showtime. And that's really sad, because the people at Showtime are by and large very nice people.

"The guy, Matt Blank, who's the president of Showtime, is a lovely man. He might not do business with us. But he's invariably polite. He's a real mensch! But Espinoza is really somebody who I despise. I hope you got that."

Villegas: "Is it safe to say no more Top Rank fights on Showtime?"

Arum: "We will show you records of sending him 10 to 15 emails, none of which he responds to. He doesn't take our calls. So obviously, we're not going to deal with somebody like that, who has disrespected us, who is somebody that we don't trust, we have no faith in -- why would we deal with somebody like that?

Good point. I don't think he can force them to sign with GB. What if Haymon says ok you can take fighter A but fighter A says screw that I don't wanna sign with GB. I'm going with TR. Then what?

Yeah, it sounded like Haymon can just give them up to Oscar without their consent. They're like ******.

That's why these reports are useless.
