It's not the shit talk I have a problem with -- Sergio's been doing plenty of that -- it's the ****** shit talk I have an issue with. "KO in four...one shot and it's over..." Please. That's just blabbering.

Cotto played it smart in the second fight he boxed and moved. If he would have fought the same way he did in the first fight Margarito would have destroyed him again. With or without cement in his fists.

Roach needs to stop it with against this fighter and against that fighter, on the night anything can happen. If Martinez knee doesn't hold up and cotto can work the body, Miguel might break him down and stop him. But a 70-80% sergio is too big, too fast, hits too hard and is too unorthodox for cotto.

        Sergio by stoppage.
Martinez does not hit harder than Torres, or the version of Pac Cotto faced I'd argue.

Cotto punches plenty hard, but I sincerely doubt he punches as hard as Chavez, who's much bigger. I'm curious to see how Miguel's power comes across versus Martinez. He'll need to land often. I don't think he's got enough to hurt Sergio with one big punch.

Manny fought Cotto at a catch weight of 145. I give Pacquiao full credit for the win, but I don't doubt that Miguel's weight made him more vulnerable to Manny's power. With his speed, crazy angles and repeated shots, Pacquiao broke Cotto down. At a higher weight, Miguel probably would've handled the shots better. I don't believe for a moment that 145 lb Pac hits harder than 160 lb Martinez.

After 4 or 5 frames the Cotto stamina problem will be doubled at 159.

Miquel will have better luck hitting the lottery then hitting Sergio well enough to create sleep mode.

                Martinez by 8th stanza stoppage.
I agree with everything except the round of the ko. I think Martínez gets the TKO in the 10th. Will be a good fight though!

Honestly - I think Cotto will take Martinez's shots better than he did Pac. Not because of the weight - but he fought prime Pac who's speed was just unheard of. These were shots he never saw coming. Those are the worst ones. I imagine he'll be able see all of Sergio's shots.

He took flush bombs from Mosley, Torres, and Bailey and stood his ground

The biggest issue is his scar tissue he has that is soft from the first Margarito fight that never seemingly healed perfectly

that NY doctor saved Cotto in the Margarito 2 fight, Cotto was gassing. he gave Margarito all he had but the rugged Margarito started catching em before the stoppage. Margarito had Cotto bruised up with about 5 punches. NY saved Cotto from getting beat up by a shot Margarito with one eye and clean handwraps. A healthy Martinez ought to finish Cotto.

I don't disagree with your assessment of Manny's punches in the Cotto fight, but that's very different from saying Pacquiao hits harder than Martinez. I would tend to agree that Miguel won't be experiencing that same kind of bewilderment versus Sergio.

The scar tissue is something I haven't seen brought up before. Old cuts can open pretty easily. Gabe Rosado had a gash open up against Quillin, where he had scar tissue from a previous fight. Cotto also had a pretty nasty gash from the Clottey bout.
