Yes, most of my Mexican friends always root for Mexican fighters, but I don't care much. I was rooting for Martinez to school Chavez Jr, and I don't like Marquez because it's pretty obvious he is on some crazy powerful ped's(Although I had tremendous respect for him before, the way he fought back against Pacquiao in their first fight was very brave). My favorite fighters at the moment are Maidana, Mathysse, Froch, Canelo, Golovkin, Kovalev, Thurman, Curtis Stevens, and Martinez.
Although I will admit that I have slight ethnic bias when it's fighters I don't know much about.

Secondly, what does it even matter? Since its inception, boxing has been promoted as a contest between differing nationalities. Hell, it wasn't that long ago that boxing was heavily promoted as a contest between races (Jack Johnson and Joe Louis), and at one point in time it was even viewed as a clash of ideologies (remember all of the criticism Ali got when he announced that he was a black ******?).
While at times stunningly beautiful and poetic, our sport has a pretty ugly history.
To answer your question though - Yeah, I'm a white guy (pic in profile) and my favorite active fighters include Juan Manuel Marquez, Bernard Hopkins, Gennady Golovkin, and Lucas Matthysse. It doesn't get much more diverse than that.
What I find equally as disturbing as posters who only support fighters of their own nationality or race (they definitely exist here in droves) are posters who assume the race of poster simply based on which fighters he or she supports, though. It wasn't that long ago that everybody here thought I was black just because I was a Hopkins fan when most others weren't. That's a bit racist in and of itself.

Is it wrong for somebody from Tampa Bay to be a Bucs fan? Brazilians cheer for the Brazilian soccer team in the world cup. How many fans of Nigeria do you see in Brazil or Italy?
Boxing is just an individual sport but I have no problems with Mexicans cheering for Mexican fighters, Brits cheering for UK fighters, Cubans cheering for Cuban fighters, etc. It makes it more fun, IMO.
If anything, Americans don't support there fighters enough and that's why we don't have events with 80,000 fans in the building and why fighters can't draw or get good ratings.

I don't have many rooting interests, however when it comes to laying money on a fighter you have to be very open minded if you want to have any hope of making money. Getting caught up on things like race, creed, color makes you bet with your heart which is always dumb money.
However fans who root with their heart are harmless enough, who cares who they like or root for, let them do them.

i think the majority of posters here don't give a **** what colour somebody is but their is a very vocal minority who only support guys who have the same colour skin as them ... weltschmertz(or however the **** he spells it), brandish, big dunn etc

I like em all. I love Black music. I love the blues, love me some jazz. I'm Northern Irish though and I get behind my man Frampton, not purely as he's my fellow countryman, but also because I like his style and his attitude. Confident and humble, strange mix.

I root for any boxer who comes across respectful, and is generally a come to fight guy.
There's only one type of boxer I hate, and that's Adrien Broner because he's just a dick.
Other boxers who I dislike, Floyd Mayweather, Robert Guerrero, James Degale, Carl Froch, Deontay Wilder, Keith Thurman when he opens his mouth, and last but not least Ricardo Mayorga.

I really don't care, my favourite fighters are;
Froch
Gamboa
Rigo
Sergio
Haye
Brook
Ultimately, race and/or nationality don't make people likeable.

Honestly, maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like the people who rate boxers purely on nationality and race are not from America or are **********.
Are u implying that only white Americans are non biased?
