    When Sergio Martinez headlined at a stadium in Argentina last year in front of tens of thousands of fans, it was a homecoming for a fighter who hadn’t fought there in 12 years.

    Martinez is from Buenos Aires, and all but one of his first 26 pro boxing bouts came in his home country. Yet he relocated his career to Spain in 2002, fighting there, in the United Kingdom and on occasion in the United States until his career picked up with an HBO spotlight and ultimately with his middleweight championship win over Kelly Pavlik and the reign that has followed.                               If he ever fights GGG it would be in Argentina. And against Rubio he probably would sell more tickets in Argentina than the US.
