It's because he went from having the deepest roster in boxing to just having basically Canelo and Mares.

Hats off to Oscar for ending the cold war. Time to see more classic fights. Pacman VS Garcia or Khan or Maidana. Provodnikov VS Matthysse. Make it happen please for boxing fans!!!

                    Its gotta burn

Oscar is coming to the realization that it is hard to find quality people, and Schaefer was quality. Anyone in Schaefer's position would have done the same thing. The ship was sinking. You just can never trust a junkie. And for all the people defending Oscar, at least let him make it a year clean and sober before you judge people's BUSINESS decisions. What he did to Canelo is unforgivable, at least it would be to me, he made his biggest fight of his life completely about Oscar and his issues and disappeared on the kid. Who's hands would you want your career in if you worked for free for 10 years and now you have a small window to earn vast sums of money....

Lets not get carried away. I respect Oscar and what he's accomplished but lets not act like he's a saint. Guys have been dragged through the mud for doing less than what Oscar has. Oscar was also hated by many when he was a boxer for being very selfish and trying to pimp guys when it came to negotiating. He also fought with and hated Arum long before Floyd did so lets not act like he's not part of this cold war stuff or has never been part of the problem himself. A lot of people are forgetting these things
