The reason certain people oppose this fight is because Lara is not old, not drained, not coming up 1 or 2 division, doesn't have a massive reach disadvantage, and is an elite southpaw who doesn't have concrete in his shoes. In other words, they know he is a threat, so they want him confined to the quarantine bay alongside Margarito, Williams, Pacquiao, and (pre-40s) Martinez.

That is a great post. Sums it up perfectly. Will green K you when I can

none why would we want to see Lara vs Mayweather when he would be coming off a brutal KO loss to Canelo?

If you enjoy the art of boxing, the sweet science, paying attention to every detail of a round, then you would love this. This is why it's the fight I want to see. You've got a guy who has a legit chance at dethroning the #1, but if he beats Canelo (which I believe he will) he will be deserving of the fight. The only way I'd be ****ty about it is if Floyd requests a weak ass catchweight. If you love brawls, having a fight party with your friends and watching some "fuck aesthetics, I'm trying to take your head off" then this isn't the fight for you. Different strokes for different folks.

floydiots enjoy the sweet science of pot shot, back pedal, back pedal, potshot, lean on the ropes, right elbow, left elbow, potshot, pull counter, back pedal, back pedal, pot shot... end of round 1... then repeat 11 times more.

I think Floyd beats him but nothing wrong with the 2 best in a division fighting. Floyd will be a favorite vs anybody

Who cares if Lara vs Mayweather is boring? Mayweather is rarely in entertaing fights anyway. It makes no difference. People just want to see him challenged and get beaten. No matter how aesthetically boring, Mayweather losing rounds will get anyone's adrenaline flowing. Lara right now has the best chance out of anyone between 140-154 to beat him.
