talked to a 60 year old british guy about the seen back in the ali era

he moved to canada 20 years ago but he was very knowledgable about the HW division. he said the ali era by far the best. then the 90s. he said today´s era is weak but nothing like tyson´s era. he called tysons era a bunch of fat drug using alcoholics who couldnt stay sober long enough to put a win streak together... interesting take. he said tyson would have had troubles in today´s big era as he never did have much success against big men...

But Tyson's era was the 80's/90's so how does he state that Mike's era was weak as hell but the 90's was the second best HW era?

Tyson's era is meant as the late 80s. Common sense. GTFO.

But he's British and old so it adds more validity to his statement.

The vibe I get as well. I chuckled when he said that this era "isn't as bad." Does he not see the lard asses that are fighting right now. Two punches and they are out of breath. GTFO!

Well if you consider Tyson's loss to Buster Douglas as the end of 'his' era, then I guess. It's dumb to think that Tyson wasn't a major part of the 90's era.

Tyson was an integral part of the 90s but it wasn't HIS era, it was the holy/Lewis era, Tyson always came third to them but yes he was the most profitable name in the division.
