Froch-Groves had 80K fan yet the live gate was US 9 million.

Floyd-Maidana had less than 15K fans yet the live gate was 20million.

Floyd-Maidana was $15m at live gate, Froch-Groves is expected to do $10m.

If the fight is held in the UK you'd get PPV on both sides of the Atlantic as well as a huge stadium event.

I still never agreed with this idea that "PPV sales are hurt when you fight in another part of the world" - the excuse Arum tried to make for Pac-Rios having low numbers.

The only way fighting overseas affects PPV sales is if the time of the fight is affected. I doubt anyone in the U.S. who follows boxing and is aware of the fight will not order a fight on PPV because it is in another country...

You can promote the fight in the U.S. all the way up to week of the fight..no need to promote the fight in the host country...

If you put Floyd in Cowboy Stadium against Canelo and make tickets $5 then 100k drunken fans will pack the place.

From what I understand, the cheapest tickets were about £40 which is around $70. I don't know if you consider that giving them away, it's obviously cheaper than MGM but the view is worse high up so it's to be expected.

Incidentally, Hearn thinks they could have sold another 30,000-40,000, they sold 60,000 in 54 minutes.
