When i saw this thread i thought it was a troll thread!!!

why couldnt the choice be yes or no?

    what is... No...Yes

    anyway regarding ducking...

    the latest rumour...

Does this have any impact on the possibility of Mayweather-Pacquiao?

None. Mayweather remains under contract to Showtime and is with Haymon. Mayweather has also repeatedly said he would not do business with Arum, who recently re-signed Pacquiao to a two-year contract extension. From what I am told, Arum got financial help from HBO in closing the Pacquiao deal and then pledged loyalty to HBO on Pacquiao fights. They***8217;ll keep fighting on different networks, and the same problems remain as far as how to split the money and various other issues. Bottom line: Still no fight.

In short if this rumour is true Pacman didnt only sign an extension but also made sure he is exclusive to HBO while knowing FMJ is exclusive to showtime.

Pacman's true colors are shown if true...CHECK MATE!!!
    sig sob bye :-)

in twenty years time whenever somebody mentions floyd in atg threads trying to compare him with the likes of say Sugar ray leonard floyd will ALWAYS come up short due to his ducking of the biggest threat of his era.

he won't be known as TBE he will be known as TBDE ... The Best Ducker Ever.

And that, my friends, is the way it will be no matter how much his uber fans argue otherwise and try to put the blame on others. I quote ... "Health Comes First."

A loss and two wins over Roberto Duran ... is better than never fighting him and saying ... 'yeah I ducked the fight but u know if we had fought I'd have beaten him.'

i kept asking about this a lot with no one really answering. No one's ducking if both fighters have exclusive contracts to different networks. No wonder Arum said he would like to do the floyd fight as Pac's last in 2016. As much as i like Pac as a fighter no mater what he says in public about wanting the fight his career has always been managed for him.

Well the general consensus that he is a serial ducker doesn't seem to matter anymore, Floyd even makes fun of himself that he has that reputation and plays up to it, saying at least hes a rich coward.

But the powers that be still put all their faith in Floyd even after arguably losing to cherry picked fighters so it don't matter anymore, Floyds got nothing to worry about. FLoyd don't have to ko anyone even when he promises to.

Here's a list of some of the fighters Floyd has ducked (feel free to add any I forgot):

            1. Prime Mosley (Should've fought in 2006 but fought Baldomir instead. Mosley called him out in 2007, Floyd chose to fight a blown up Hatton who'd never fought at 147 before)
            2. Prime Cotto (At 140 and 147, was scared sh_tless of him until he became damaged goods)
            3. Margarito (before the scandal, when he was tearing everyone apart, he even confronted Floyd and challenged him, video's on youtube somewhere)
            4. Paul Williams (at 147, before he went to sww)
            5. Pac
            6. Martinez (he's offered to come down to 154 for a couple of years to make the fight happen but Floyd refuses)
            7. Kostya Tszyu (at 140)

Is there any other top boxer who's ducked this many fights over their career?

Can it get any more embarrassing for floydgimps? I think it probably can and most likely will!

I stopped being a fan of Floyd a while ago. Not making the PAC fight is something I really hold against him as a boxing fan. That should have been the Ali-Frazier of our generation, but instead we have seen him fight the Guerreros maidanas and ortizs. Very disappointing.

Almost every fighter has a list as long of fighters they didn't fight.

Cool but it comes down to the double standards IMO. Every move FMJ makes he is held accountable. But if Manny makes a certain move its the he is not so smart or his english isnt that good or etc. I believe both have access to top notch advisors if they want to. Also to believe that someone who is in politics doesnt know how to make people compensate for their shortcomings is crazy to me. Thats what politicians do all the time.

Regarding FMJ legacy: it is too obvious that a lot of people hate has gone through the roof regarding FMJ. In general they stick with name-calling and the likes. i cant take the majority of the haters serious. The truth IMO is more likely than not that both werent eager to make the fight and they have fanboys fighting and chosing sides.

To me the first negotiations were as legit as can be. 50/50 solves all the money debate. and asking for a test isnt irrelevant in sport and i can see an athlete asking for that, i've got no problem with that. If FMJ really allready signed his side of the contract and the only thing from preventing the fight to happen and making multiple millions is a test, than i cant blame FMJ. Asking for a test isnt outrageous/crazy IMO. In conconclusion if FMJ signed his side of the contract the first time as is said IMO, he isnt a duck in my history book. For all the other fights that didnt happen... i dont know all the timelines and variables needed to judge that properly. But a lot of big fighters are seen as duckers. David Haye and even the GREAT, GREAT, GREAT Wlad. Klitsko is said to have ducked Chisora ones upon a time. moral of the story most greats will have an asterix...
