Naa! Oscar calculated this move, and he was prevented from the shady crap Shaefer and haymon where doing and he just want stop and draw a line, and said enough is enough.....He (Oscar knows) Mayweather needs a good dancing partner to do good #s. who has the bigest stable in the business today?
Thats right!! Oscar and if Mayweather is not willing to fight Pac, who is left for him to fight? like it or not I think in this case Mayweather will have to swallow his pride and cantinue to copromote with GBP, probably the only source of sparing partners for Floyd

Oscar really played himself. It's no wonder they don't want Schaefer to leave. And I think he has no one to blame but himself; getting coked up and having *****s shoved where the sun don't shine while business was being run. If Schafer, Iskowitch and Binkow are gone, fighters probably won't want to stick around, which is why he needs an alliance with Top Rank.
I'm with you. I think Schaefer/Haymon/Mayweather will ultimately win. Oscar acted to late. He does have Canelo but I think Lara will beat him which will be a win for Team Haymon and a major setback for GBP.

But he won't go down without a fight. I just hope fighters don't get shelved for a long period of time with legal BS.

Anything to avoid fighting Manny, I guess.

In business when people say they lost money that mean they lost according to what they projected... they might have projected 100 mil per fight so they lost 20 mil in projection but Showtime will not continue doing business with Floyd if they was losing money people.. Do you really thing Showtime will run there company in the ground and take a lost for 3 more fights... Come on people be smarter than that. You didnt see HBO several ties with Pac when he did 500K against Rios...because they didnt lose money they just didnt make as much as they wanted...CHURCH
That's why you whipped out a vintage alt so just in case you get called out on your math? lol.

Half of the $63m goes to the cable providers... you know, Comcast, Cablevision, Timewarner, etc. That leaves $31.5m + gate which barely covers the purses (assuming your estimates were accurate to begin with).

This will be complicated. Haymon and Schaefer could be in trouble if any one of these two points come to light.

1: If any fighters come out and say they could not get fights, unless they signed with Haymon (Amir Khan is an example. If he was told no Floyd fight at all unless he signed with Haymon, then it could open up a can of worms)

2: If any promotional contracts were allowed to expire if they were signed with Haymon as an adviser (Danny Garcia). That could be a sticky situation and determine that Schaefer was not acting in the best interest of the ship he was sailing.

People thinking this is the end of the "Cold War" are being a lil naive. Even if GBP and TR decide to work together, its only gonna be o ccassionally. And those are gonna be situations where its a big fight or a mandatory being enforced by the ABC groups. This isn't gonna be a free-4-all where interpromotional are being made on a regular basis.

You would know who stated Manny is scared of needles, "we need a stadium," etc. If you knew histroy, you would understand the significance of Floyd's contract with Showtime, the 2 largest PPVs, etc. Obviously you don't. Some fighters need special shakes, some fighters need special gloves, and some fighters are just special.
