I bet smaller promoters jump in during the mayhem and make some noise. But if Arum and Oscar fall short, it will be a 3-way cold war. Many outcomes possible.

i can see it happening. fans of both fighters are not concern about whos coming off a win or not. its a rivalry type match here and both sides of fans would go crazy over it.

Think of Cotto-Margarito when both were at their peak...it did half a milly. Now Cotto coming off a loss and Canelo too? Never.

Canelo is a star because many believe he has the potential to be great. Along with his looks, that has catapulted him. The loss to Mayweather didn't hurt much but if he loses to Lara, he loses a lot of luster. Similarly, Cotto will be looked at as washed up if he loses to Martinez. Can't see that fight doing a million buys at all.

the loss to floyd didnt hurt, the way canelo approached the fight it did, canelo loss almost half of his casual fan base because of that, there is a reason why he was so aggressive vs angulo, he is on a rebuilding process and trying to get to where he once was, dont expect him to try to outbox fighters no more, as long as he keeps taking on all comers and fighting aggressive win or loose he will be a star, just like oscar was...
