They would certainly have to work on building up what latino guys they have and build better connections so they can get the up and coming latino guys, that is a key demographic where they would be lacking so that is where they would really have to work.

Certainly not an easy task especially when you consider the time frame but at least for them they would have a strong jumping off point.

Al Haymon was barely known in boxing before Floyd Mayweather but he was around well before then.

Also, Floyd Mayweather Jr is a pretty influential figure, when he changed from hbo to showtime everyone else on GBP followed him, i don't see why Al Haymon signed fighters wouldn't follow him on this one too.
Nobody followed Floyd HBO told gbp they weren't going to work with them any more.

-He said hes here to clean up the sport of boxing, then has couple dudes in his camp positive for testing , while he's been blaming pac the whole time
-He keeps saying he gonna save boxing and make it better for hte future, yeet creates even more rift , by refusing to work with Top Rank and now Golden Boy.
That is the final nail in the coffin. If you cant see floyds flaws, then you are an idiot.
Is he the #1 p4p boxer now..Yes. but he is ruining the sport. that least de la hoya wants to make everyone do business with each other. but floyd could care less about YOU FANS. so all you TMT nation gettin played man.
i mean who you want ya boy to fight? cant wait till he retires he is really making all these rifts between promoters, networks etc.

I hope Pac makes a huge statement for boxing by fighting a Golden Boy Fighter this fall
If you don't like it, stop involving yourself in anything related to Floyd Mayweather. If he's this cancer to the sport, don't ever watch him fight again, don't ever order a PPV of his, don't ever watch a youtube video of him, change your avi and stop commenting in threads about him, he's a cancer to the sport right? Stop keeping him alive.

                  • What I don't get, Floyd is a business man. This doesn't look like a "smart business decision". I mean, the biggest fight in a long time for boxing and most money, he still didn't take that either.

He would probably have to invest a bit but he would more than likely get other people to pay again because that is what he does, and that is an effective way to operate if you can pull it off using other peoples money. Espinoza is an Oscar guy btw, but he isn't ****** and knows not to burn bridges he does not have to.

Yea Oscar would be the idiot if he is taking all that risk without proper rewards, yea Floyd probably would pay Khan if he could make money on the deal, same as Oscar~
Ok, obviously you are going to think Haymon is good for boxing and is a smart guy no matter what. But now 2 different companies (the two biggest in boxing) and HBO have told him to basically go **** himself makes me think he is not very long term focused which would make him a terrible promoter. So again, he's never actually promoted, never actually gotten any sponsors, never actually negotiated with Showtime or HBO (Golden Boy did.) That doesn't mean he can't do these things as you say, but it isn't going to happen in time for a Mayweather fight, of which he has an actual obligation for on Showtime.

Look I'm not saying he can't make a promotion company, but I don't think he will. If it's Mayweather promotions they will never get a sponsor, ever. Floyd marketed himself as the bad guy, as "uban" as much as I hate that p.c. **** but it gets people to hate him. I live in Vegas, but most people (filipino's aside lol) think Mayweather is a cool dood. He lives here, but he's actually a really cool guy in public he is likeable and tips like a beast from what I hear. So until I started reading Yahoo comments and casuals at parties or in public... people really think he is a giant piece of ****. It's easy to get a sponsor for Tebow he doesn't burn $100 bills, flaunt his cash and beat his wife... that tends to turn them away. They can do it, but I don't see it happening.
