Dan Rafael reported that the Haymon fighters aren't actually contracted to Golden Boy, they just fight on Golden Boy cards, only Canelo, B-Hop and Mares are actually contracted along with a few others but the majority of big names aren't. So they can easily fight under a new promotional company. Whether its Schaefer Promotions or maybe Schaefer becomes a part of Mayweather Promotions and they try and grow that.

Either way, it will all be quite interesting.

Wow, now the picture is clear. I thought all those fighter were still technically under a GoldenBoy promotional contract but advised by Haymon.

Schaefer really fucked GoldenBoy over with this. Oscar is going to have to re-stock his roster.

supposedly some of the money behind Golden Boy wanted Schaefer out as golden boy has NEVER turned a profit. Schaefer played up his stock holdings which means they came to a legal resolution. Likely he is not going to be working for a rival and no lawsuits will be filed for dereliction regarding haymon fighters not being signed.

Great move by Oscar. Apparently Schaffer was trying to hide contracts, money and all sorts of things from Oscar in order to take away the company, Oscar stop him before all that.

Oscar reached to Arum in case Schaffer tried to play hardball, but obviously he didnt.

And no, no fighters are leaving GBPs, first the connections, name and opportunity to fight TR fighters now is bigger than ever.
Second there are contracts signed, its as if this fighters can yleave because they want to, Ask Ward and Donaire.

Third for the Floyd fans claiming TMT-Floyd Promotions would promote those fighters, well first no one have a license over there, second Schaeffer have a no-competition agreement and third there is a reason al haymon has never been a promoter, just and adviser. As a adviser he just collects his money, as a promoter he will risk money and he ain't going to do that.

Every investor probaby hates the Floyd deal by now.

Having to pay 2 companies for modest ratings and profit (is there any?) Is not in their plans. Not going to pay Haymon and Richard big money. There's a reason HBO (way bigger than Sho) cut them off.

Showtime has to regret signing Floyd to such a crazy deal.

Floyd not doing what they expected in buys threw a major wrench into their plans.

2/3 flops so far; although they sold WELL Showtime didn't profit. Espinoza is the next to get canned.

Goldenboy became big because they had a big network like hbo behind them. Showtime is not gonna continue to piss away there money no matter how cool Espinoza thinks Haymon is lol
