Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom believes IBF/WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion Carl Froch will continue to fight. Froch reached the pinnacle of his career on Saturday night, when he knocked out George Groves before a record crowd of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London.
In the option of Hearn, there are three realistic options for Froch's next fight - Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Mikkel Kessler and James DeGale.
Froch is hungry to headline a major event in Las Vegas and Chavez Jr. would certainly be the perfect opponent to oppose him. Kessler decisioned Froch in 2010, but the Nottingham boxer got revenge last year with his own twelve round verdict. A trilogy bout would do big business in the UK or Denmark. And then there is DeGale, an Olympic gold medal winner and the mandatory to Froch's IBF title.
