The reason cotto was so dominant early in his career was because his uncle was training him. Once they had the feud and split, cotto has had multiple trainers and neither got the best out of him. With Roach, I see I younger, hungrier, looking to knock you out cotto same as when he was with his uncle. People say Martinez is to skillful and fast but they forget cotto beat a more skillful, faster fighter in Shane mosley back when mosley was considered top three p4p. A lot of people will be shocked to see the fight cotto puts on come Saturday, even though he won't get the recognition he'll deserve because they'll say Martinez was old and the injuries caught up with him

Martinez is far better than Balco Mosley. Mosley could even win 2 rounds against Mayweather

Martinez in his prime would be a substantial favorite. This version of Martinez is beatable, and I think it's a 50/50 fight or maybe a very slight edge to Martinez. I like what Roach brings to the table with Cotto although Roach has become an egotistical person as of late. I think Cotto needs to impose himself on Martinez early. Cotto is a different fighter when he's coming forward although he can box and fight and backing up as well. When Cotto is able to absorb shots and come forward he's at his best. The key to this fight is whether Cotto can take Martinez' power. We know Cotto is not a one punch KO artist, but we also know Cotto will carry power to 159 and do damage. If Cotto can handle Martinez's power and be effective to the body, he'll win the fight.

Chavez did not want to let his hands go for 11.5 rounds and when he did HE DID LAND. Not just on the final minute but the few times he let his hands go he landed.

I don't know where this narrative of Manny was destroying Marquez until the KO came from. Manny was ahead on the scorecards but he hardly was destroying him. I feel as if people who push the whole 'Manny was demolishing Marquez until the KO' are people putting their biased spin on the fight.
