If Wladimir wants to beat Povetkin in a convincing fashion he should work very hard on his stamina and prepare a very special jab.
    Ah........ Come on.

Then we do not have the same understanding of the word athleticism.

Athleticism doesn't mean being ripped. Povetkin is athletic because he moves very well and has some fast and sharp hooks.

Just look at the Charr fight. Povetkin was moving at his will and simply dismantling Charr's defense. He throws some very very fine combos.

Let's not forget that he is indeed a gold medallist!

Povetkin is a flat footed boxer.

How about Pulev, Wilder, etc. Some one we haven't seen him against.

No one wants to see that fight but there aren't many available options for Wlad now that Wilder and Stiverne are fighting. A Povetkin fight would just be another easy night and payday. Heck, I'd rather see Wlad take on Pulev and I think Pulev is terrible just so I don't have to see him fight Povetkin again.

I wouldn't have any problem with his next year being Pulev, Wilder/Stiverne, Fury/Chisora, Haye/Povetkin. I don't see a lot else out there.

Is Wlad a top 10 HW?

Povetkin is just too small for Wlad. Geometrically that's just how the fight will go. Povetkin will try to get inside, Wlad will take a step forward to smother the punches, Povetkin's head will go under Wlad's arm and they will clinch.

Unless one of them loses on purpose by allowing the other to fight at their optimal distance, that's how the fight will go.

Probably not. My definition of athletic is the correct one and Povetkin doesn't suit it. He's a good boxer, but I don't understand why you want to build him up to something he's not?

Yes he beat Charr. Who's Charr ever beaten? In all honesty, be serious.

Yes he's a gold medalist, and that's a great achievement, but it still doesn't make him more athletic.

Pulev likely will happen September if the fight can't be made with Stiverne.

Wilder/Pulev/Stiverne all those guys will get their shot.

I'm more interested into who Povetkin may fight next...
Maybe Chisora/Fury winner seems the only likely plan but they're not ranked that highly by WBC meh sooner we get a unified champ the better could be a few stinker of HW fights made.
