except ward has beaten most of the guys froch has but done so more decisively and then dominated froch when they fought. beating the likes of groves, yusuf mack etc. isnt going to change that. if froch wants to prove he is no.1 go ahead and fight ward.

Ward is #1 Froch is #2 in the ring. Unless they fight again or Ward loses that's the way it is. As far as power and name recognition Froch is #1.

Not to take anything away from Froch he did his thing last night. But it's pretty clear Hearns and Froch don't want any piece of Ward, Because they know theres a good chance he loses.Froch is at the tail end of his career, he's a huge draw at home, why risk a potentially embarrassing defeat and shatter the illusion. when he can fight decent opponents Build his legacy, cash big cheques and have his fans convinced he's #1. if he fights Ward again Froch and his fans will have no exuses.
