Photo very misleading. Groves was actually up and would have beaten a count. Even though the ref likely would have had to wave him done or he would have been dropped again from the next punch Froch threw.

What?
He was helped to his feet and still staggered to his chair a good 20 seconds after the fight was called off.
It would be completely irresponsible to let a man like that out against Carl Froch.Comment

I thought I made it clear that he was in no position to continue.if you take Froch's balls off your forehead maybe you'd read a lil better.Comment

I only read about the fight on teletext. So when Groves got up was he complaing the fight was stopped prematurely, or did he think the ref did a good job this time round.?
But I did say Froch was going to win by late stoppage or decision, although many had jumped on the Groves bandwagon.Comment

He wasn't quite out cold (ala Pacquaio) but he landed in a very awkward manner and just laid there disoriented for a moment. The ref waived it off pretty much without counting. As soon as he saw the ref's arms waiving he started to get up but the ref hugged him and told him to stay put.I only read about the fight on teletext. Groves had a wide-eyed/displeased look on his face and said some things to the ref but shortly after that seemed to resign to exhaustion and just sat in his corner with a doctor until hugging Froch a couple minutes later. That's as closely as I can describe it.
What would have been a very clear KO for Froch was slightly tainted by an overzealous ref but Grove's own protest was minimal.Comment

THe boxers health is of most importance, but in this particular fight, the possibility of a ref letting it continue in Groces state might have been a possibility.Comment
