What is the hype over George Groves? who has he beaten?

Beat DeGale, dominated Froch the first fight, and boxed well in the rematch. He's not a world beater but he's shown his class and is still 26 years old.

I think the hype comes from the fact he did a lot of things to Carl Froch in 18 rounds, that lots of fighters/champions couldn't do, or at least couldn't do better, Ward aside.

Groves has also shown legitimate power at championship level, and a lot of potential all round. Your right that he doesn't have the greatest resume, but he kind of jumped a level in my eyes going straight in with Froch, which is maybe why he hasn't built up the resume.

I think if you observe what he did with Froch though, like I said you can see he is a good fighter, also the best win of his career was over James Degale and that might not seem to impressive to you sitting here today, but you could say that was a premature fight too, as Degale could easily go on and win a world title, again credit to Groves for taking these fights, when he could have taken his time more and that might be what he will do now.

People never mention Groves' win over Glen Monson.

Monson was old, and shot to ****, but had fought Froch and Bute back-to-back and taken all they had.

Groves made him look like he wanted to quit... and NO ONE makes Glen Monson look like he wants to quit.

Groves is clearly a top level fighter and 1 of the best 168 lbers in the world. Froch knocked him out.. Froch is the man right now on NSB, just give a guy fcking props. Jesus christ. We can all be that guy and nitpick any win on any guys resume. but lets just stop over analyzing and cut the bull**** out, froch is a great fighter and scored a great win tonight. let the fans take it in and perhaps join them, its much better then to sulk and act butthurt over something you cant control
