    People are overating FROCH!!!

You guys are letting your emotions get the better of you after seeing that KO. You all need to calm down and ask yourselves what happened prior to that KO.

If Chavez Jr KO'd Sergio in the 12th it wouldn't mean Chavez was better or is now a P4P fighter, it wouldn't erase the fact he got schooled for 11.5 rounds prior.

I am in no way shape or form a Froch hater, that guy his tremendously overachieved in my book and that's great for him and his family and I wish them all the best. My bills do not get paid by either fighter, I just tell it like it really is from a realest perspective not some emotional fanboy.

What Froch really is, is a P4P puncher, not boxer or fighter. His flurries were hitting nothing but Groves gloves, arms and air, Groves was countering beautifully during the flurries as if he was seeing them in slow mo.

Anyone with at least Groves's level of boxing skills and a chin that can withstand at least a few hard shots from Carl can out box him easily.

The only reason for a Ward rematch would be so Ward can earn some money, it's clear as day he'd get schooled even worse this time with 2 healthy hands from Ward.

Golovkin would simply neutralize anything Froch does and work on his body and pick him apart with a late TKO.

Kovalev, he'd punish Froch with every blow and TKO/KO him earlier than Golovkin would.

Stevenson, Carl has a legit chance of beating him, his chin isn't that great, he fights like a young Pacman, he constantly throws a sloppy jab followed by a left straight. I would favour Froch 65/35 in this match, would be more if Stevenson didn't have that power.

Groves, there is no need for another bout between the two unless their paths genuinely collide. Groves has shown he can out box, out speed, out smart Carl. He just doesn't have the chin to withstand that punch that can change a fight which is what's kept Froch going strong and most likely every time between them that punch will land on his chin and Groves would walk away with an L.

Respect to both men tonight and wish them nothing but the best.

    GTFOH, Carl Froch is Great.

2 lose's in a HOF resume and only one 1 lose is legit, and the other controversial one revenged, GTFOH go eat some waffles and watermelons.

What happened before the KO was a close, tense fight that Froch won by knocking Groves the **** out.

          Over-rating?

He's one of the most under-rated fighters in the sport and has been for years.

Not at all. Froch gets undermined as some sort of caveman brawler. He's smarter than that, his record backs it up.

Typical fan boy responses. I guess this disease of fanboyism isn't only confined to Mayweather and Pacman fans.

No one is overrating him. He's physically limited, stiff as a board, bad technique...but guess what? HES A GREAT FIGHTER!

You can't teach ring IQ and heart, and all the intangibles that Froch displays in winning these fights!

                Bad thread!

Here is the unwritten forum rule.

If you're a newbie with less than 100 posts and a 2014 join date, you should stir clear of writing a long novel-esque post because nobody is interested.

Nobody is "overrating" Froch. Wins and loses do matter. The end results do matter. Not couldve's and should've's. Froch was never nor was he ever though of as a perfect boxer who usually dominated all rounds and rarely ever gets caught. Nor was he ever a head-first brawler who gets swollen and busted up every fight. Rather, he is something in between with a track record of coming from behind and blasting someone out, while also "hanging" with better boxers and taking them to a split decision distance (e.g. The first Kessler fight, the Andre Dirrell fight).

I stopped reading there. Go away, OP. You obviously don't know **** if you really believe Froch wasn't getting in good shots during those flurries. He wore Groves out and took him into deep water. He wouldn't have been able to KO Groves if Froch hadn't banked in on those vicious body shots he was landing on Groves that apparently were hitting "arms."
