There was a head clash in the first round. But if they stopped it it would have been a NC. So they let the fight extend 3 more rounds. Donaire was beating his ass and after 4, they stopped it so he could take the belt.

Sounds like they (the officials, not Donaire) wanted the fight to reach 5 because they started it then stopped it.... that's shady as hell

I thought it was out of 4, but they scored out of 5 w/o fighting the fifth

they didnt even look at the eye

the ref clarified it goes to the scorecards if he stops the fight , donaire and vetyeka got up ready to fight then the ref stopped it .................................................. ..................................

No they read the scores wrong. It was 39-36 across the board.

Fought through?? He was *****ing all fight about it. And the cut could had being from a punch that V12 landed in a combo he trhew in the first round, but they aint showing that.

Ive seen way worst cuts than that, and fighters go the full 12 and if/when the fight gets stop the get mad cause they want to continue fighting.

Donaire was ready to pull the plug, he smart he new after 4 thy go to the socrecards, and when het got the KD he knew he had it in the bag.

This was corrupt and shamefull. And I say it again Donaire is mentally weak, after the Rigondeaux schooling.

Say all you want against Donaire. Both fighters have 4 rounds to win and Nonito is the one bleeding. It must be in Vetyeka's mind too that he's gonna give his all just in case the ref won't stop the fight (to a No Contest) and goes 4+ rounds. But 4 rounds or not, Nonito deserves the win and he's gonna light up that ass one more time. Sure sucks to lose a belt that way, but that's boxing. I'd be pissed if there's no KD prior to stoppage but there was and Donaire started bringing it to him, he could have put Vetyeka to sleep a round earlier if not for that nasty cut.

QUIT hating on Donaire people. He's not a multiple division champ for nothing.
