For his time, Frazier's power was great. Nowadays, heavyweights are huge and no way Frazier would have had the success today that he did back in the 60s and 70s.

^ True and that's a large part of why Wlad was able to win the Povetkin fight via physical control. A 4+ inches taller and 20-30 lbs heavier Povetkin would have changed that to say the least.

However he's big enough for other guys like Stiverne (heavier but same height) Arreola (bigger but flabby), Charr obviously... and maybe skilled enough to overcome the size difference with sloppier big guys like Fury.

If CW was anything more than a feeder for HW then some of these guys (sasha, haye, chambers, etc) would have a real reason to drop a couple pounds. No $$$ there.

He is quite a bit smaller than Pulev but IMO more skilled. That would be a great fight.

Povetkin vs Pulev would be a good fight but I give the edge to Povetkin because he'll simply be more aggressive and active than Pulev. I think Stiverne is too big and powerful for Povetkin and wouldn't be surprised if Povetkin gets stopped if they ever fought. Fury vs Povetkin would be an interesting fight and could be a big fight if it were held in Britain.

Watched the fight again... didn't see much from Charr but some jabs and alotta holding. Pov could've maybe even ended it sooner.

Wlad really did his home work for the Povetkin fight: he knew Povetkin would be a real threat at mid to close range so Wlad completely prevented that. Ugly as s*it and boring but the ref let it go so Sasha had no chance. I still rate Povetkin at #2, right behind Klitschko.
Won't argue with you on the analysis. And you're right, it made for a boring fight. It would be interesting though, to see a Wlad/Pov fight with an actual ref who won't allow grab n hold.
