Kazakhstan doesn't follow boxing like the other nations.
It's suck for him that the nationality thing makes a difference to his fanbase in terms of home crowd and worldwide stardom but he is and will remain a heck of a fighter.

He still gets good numbers on HBO though, a GGG/Chavez jr PPV would do better numbers than the Martinez PPV.

HBO is boxing and HBO is Golovkin.

      Golovkin is boxing
A lot of ifs, buts, and maybes in your plan. Also as good as GGG has looked, it's been vs pretty limited opposition

This is the summer GGG becomes the new face of boxing. I predict a PPV with Chavez does over 1 million buys later this year after the TR contract is worked out. GGG is already sellling out MSG and his english is getting really good.
People are going to be very surprised at how onesidedly and devastatingly Canelo beats Lara.

Wrong. I am Kazakh. Kazakhstan does follow boxing as it's number one sport on the country - we top the rankings with Russia and Cuba in the ams. OTOH Kazakhs are not well represented in the US, which leaves the impression we are non-existent.

I think he meant Golovkin would do 1m as a Chavez B-side.

Punchers have a big upside, but they are usually vulernable - that doesn't appear to be the case with Golovkin.

Needs to beat Geale, Murray, Sturm and Martinez.

GGG had a spark but he's been off for a while so let's see how he does after a long layoff after mourning the death of his father. GGG is 32 years old after all and you never know when a fighter can start to fade. Let's see how he does against Geale before jumping to conclusions.

He's probably going to have to move up to get big fights. Which is unfortunate cause I think middleweight is the perfect division for him. Unfortunately the top guys - martinez/quillin will do anything to avoid fighting him.

He'd get some names at supermiddle though ... GGG versus the winner of froch V Groves anyone?
