Time for me to log my ass off, I'm getting really pissed. Not sure why I would be more mad at Pac if he did this than other fighters who have, including him, but maybe its because I sort of expect this from certain other fighters. Boxing needs laws to prevent ridiculous catchweights.

Such a fight looks nonsensical to anyone interested in seeing competitive fights where the fighters enter the ring in roughly the same weight class, but in today's boxing environment Pacquiao-Canelo is entirely feasible.

Manny needs seemingly credible opposition. He can't ride out the next couple of years fighting human punching bags like Brandon Rios, but right now there are only so many marketable options.

Canelo needs to continue fighting the most marketable smaller opposition he can find. He is too short and stocky and too poorly conditioned to have a future at 160-plus. If he moved up and faced top middleweight fighters who are taller, longer, stronger and much better conditioned, it would quickly erase the aura that he's an elite fighter.

Many fighters have jumped weight classes and did not ask for catchweights in the past. What a f.ucked up invention. They ought to hang the first bastard who ever asked for this.

Yeah no kidding, they'd usually just say "no title" on the line and just fight. Who gives a crap about belts really.

              Frig you Koncz...

Why O' why does Pac keep that frickin' leech Michael Koncz around still?
He's a cod-blocker if ever I seen one. For one thing JMM is easy worth $10M, more like 15 to 20, (equal to what Pac under the circumstances)... Another thing, why can't Pac meet Canelo at JMW actual weight instead of 150????? The catch-weights are so old, they've given haters fuel to try to tarnish Pac's legacy, they're just not good period... Pac needs someone who will actually try to make the Floyd fight happen and as his adviser Michael Koncz could give two ****s less if the fight ever happens or not as long as he gets his... Nothing wrong with the Khan fight IMO that's actually not a bad idea, neither would Maidana if Floyd don't rematch him. Another thing, Koncz requesting VADA but where the F**K was this rhetoric when the floyd fight was in the works of being made back in the day? The dude sucks! He's broken more fights then he's made... (The one that counts anyhow)

On a serious note, NO WAY Canelo should fight anywhere under 152, if they wait one more year he might be even bigger than he is now. Roach 150 catch weight is bs because Canelo couldn't even make the 150 catch weight with Matthew Hatton he came in at 151.
                Zing!

No it doesn't. The fighter can say "no" if they don't like the terms.

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see Pacquiao fight Canelo, but the latter hasn't weighed 150 since 2010. I don't think it's feasible in the sense that the fight be made at 150, maybe 152 (but I doubt even that).

Aside from Mayweather there really isn't anything notable left out there for Pacquiao. Although seeing him in with fresh faces like Porter, Maidana, or Khan would be nice, none of those fighters would really do anything as far as his legacy is concerned. Obviously fighting for a middleweight title would definitely add a nice feather to his cap but that's even more unlikely than the Canelo fight.
