That's great news.. Glad to see Omaha supporting Crawford..

I wish the powers that be realized that if you put on good competitive fights like this instead of cherry picks, fans will come out and support it..

Fans don't care about undefeated records, paper titles, etc... All we want is good entertaining fights and Crawford-gamboa is just that.

See what happens when you let a fighter perform in his hometown?

This is what I like about Top Rank that I wish GBP would do more of.

On July 10, Barthelemy will fight Mendez at the Miami Beach Convention Center. I will be there, along with a few of my Boxingscene friends. This isn't an all-Cuban card or anything, and it's on a Thursday night. But I think it's safe to say that if that card is successful, it pierces the idea that Miami isn't a viable location for boxing.

I guess they do it as well. I was thinking of them putting Thurman's first headliner on in Cali instead of Florida when I made that post.

I see what you mean. But I think it's safe to say GB does it for their bigger names while neglecting the other guys. Those names I listed are much bigger names than Crawford but instead of TR sticking Crawford in an undercard in let's say Verona, NY they put him to headline at home.

EDIT Thurman is a good example. He's a less known name gaining popularity but they didn't have him headline in FL.
