Common opponents of Floyd and Manny:
1. Juan Manuel Marquez - Edge Floyd...Marquez' style gives Manny a lot of trouble
2. Ricky Hatton - Floyd lost rounds and was roughed up a lot of the fight; Manny easy KO in 2
3. Oscar De La Hoya - Split decision...one judge had Oscar winning; Manny dominated every round and stopped De La Hoya
4. Miguel Cotto - Bloodied Floyd's nose up, should have been a closer decision; Pac KOed Cotto in 12
5. Shane Mosley - Rocked Floyd twice in 2nd round; Got dropped by Manny and was dominated every round...
5 common opponents edge Manny: 4 to 1.
Manny v. Maidana = Taylor made for Manny
Floyd v. Maidana = gift decision in Vegas after getting hit 200+ times...
Would you rather get hit 231 times by Floyd's pot shots pitty pat shots or 221 time by Maidana's power shots..even with the pillows on still hits harder than Floyd...js...Comment

I don't know. He's trying to be accepted as a legit PR star, but I don't think anyone sees him as that yet. Danny's got some good wins, but he is sooo lacking in star quality that I can't see why Freddie or Pac would be at all interested. Broner is the guy who could help Manny sell tickets and would be the perfect springboard to a Floyd fight. That fight would sell huge. Danny is so damn vanilla that nobody would watch him if it wasn't for his obnoxious dad. Then you are blind.
Danny has beaten Holt, Morales, Kahn, Mathysse and Judah.
A pretty decent run.
Thurman's is still a prospect IMO.
I like Porter but dude needs few more fights.
You can bring up Maidana cuz he's a beast, has a name and did well against Floyd. But Danny is IMO a better boxer, he's undefeated, has a better record.
If you compare Danny and Marcos performances against an old Morales and Kahn. Danny did a lot better.
Danny has speed and pop so I like this fight. The 24 7 with Roach and daddy garcia would be great.
Boner is not competitive at 147.Comment

In regards to the Cotto and De La Hoya fight Floyd did fight bigger and stronger versions of these two then Pacquiao and it wasn't at a catch weight. De La Hoya came in there drained as hell and was a dead man walking. Good points on the other comparisons though.Common opponents of Floyd and Manny:

Wasnt Pac knocked down by Shane Mosley? I mean since we are going by official results such as Oscars split decision vs Mayweather in which most felt he clearly lost.
So I would have to say if we are going by the official results that May looked better against Mosley because he didn't knocked down.Comment

Let's put this clear....Pac can fight any fighter out there and people will find a way to complain. Pac was KO'd by Marquez, and that is worse than "looked like ***** in his last fight".
Pac/Garcia is an interesting fight. Not a mega fight, but a really good one.
Brones sounds good, but he was outclassed by Maidana.Comment
