I would not say he's struggled. He's had lapses in certain rounds but mostly dominated his fights overall. He has had injuries too.
I think he's the type of fighter who fights to the level of his competition. There's a lot on the line here so hopefully he's switched on.Comment

He was getting tagged constantly and was damn near stopped (twice?) by that Dutch-Armenian guy he last fought. Anyone decent at 168/175 absolutely embarrasses him. No amount of "I've turned a corner!"-type of speeches will change that.Comment

No he wasn't.
I do wish he'd get a different trainer. I fear only a loss may make him change though.Comment

He hasn't struggled against virtually anyone - most of his fights he wins by domination, or close to domination. It sounds as if you think if a boxer loses a few rounds in a 12 round fight then he's "struggling". I would argue that most top boxers lose a few rounds in 12 round fights - most people don't win by 12 round shut out.Comment

In his last fight, he was literally walking forward square on with his hands by his waist. He knew the guy wasn't on his level so he was playing with him.
I trust he is not ****** enough to do that at top level.Comment

Right... so we're to re-define domination as: 'getting caught on the ropes; having a loose guard; showing poor ring-generalship; getting tagged repeatedly'.He hasn't struggled against virtually anyone - most of his fights he wins by domination, or close to domination. It sounds as if you think if a boxer loses a few rounds in a 12 round fight then he's "struggling". Not seen much of Gonzalez at all and can't seem to find much.
I really just don't rate Degale. His technique is so poor, he really doesn't do anything overly well.Comment
