What's the point of mandatory splits when someone more popular can have it changed?

Pulev will still get the biggest payday of his career, though. And as others point out in this thread, if he's as confident of beating Wladimir as he pretends he is, why not take the fight? It's a win/win.

Who cares??? I'm not even gonna watch this fight. Wlad vs stivern or wilder is all I care to see.

Wlad vs. Pulev is a much better fight than Wlad vs. Stiverne. Stiverne would be a bigger victim to Wlad than Pulev. Pulev brings much more to the table.
Stiverne would just stand there doing nothing. His footwork sucks and is not agressive so he wont get anywhere near Klitschko. Pulev is a much better all around boxer and he is bigger than Stiverne.
I hope Wilder beats Stiverne and then Wlad vs. Wilder would be a verry interesting fight.

Yes it's a bit cnutish alright and it's downright pathetic that the IBF accepted this request. If it goes to a purse bid K2 will have to put up at least £6m to justify this split.

Im not on board with this. A 75-25 split is more than good enough. Im a huge klitschko fan as everyone here knows but I think this is a chicken **** deal. (Figuratively speaking)

I thought the whole idea of a purse bid was to encourage an agreement without one,now they're hinting Pulev will earn less if he doesn't agree to their initial terms !
