I think Wlad is trying to pressure Pulev to take step aside money so he can chase Stiverne.

I think it's ok. If the purse is 5 million, 20% is 1 milliion dollars and 97% of boxers would take it in a heartbeat.
A million probably more and a shot at three titles.

Stiverne vs Wilder, and Pulev vs Klitscko are good fights and by the time everything is resolved we'll hopefully get a nice unification bout.

I don't have much faith in Pulev. I mean he went the distance with Travis Walker. WTF?

This is why I'll be glad when someone finally KOs that pathetic Klit. Geez, you can say all you want about 'golden opportunity so they should take what they can get' but for cryin out loud why do these challengers have to get slave wages? I thought that went out 20 years ago with Larry Holmes. Doesn't matter how well known or how good Pulev is, he's trying to make a living. And BTW, 1 mil is NOT 1 mil net. It's 1 mil gross... in more ways than one. Pay the taxes, pay the trainer, pay the sparring partners, etc etc etc. Pulev will be lucky to get half of the 1 mil. And fighters only fight on average twice a year. Golden opportunity my azz. I hope Pulev takes it, then KOs Wlad. Out cold. Panic attacks too. He deserves it.

Let's say he gets half, $500,000 after doing his business taxes, etc.

                  How many guys make that?

It's great money. Plus the opportunity to win THE lineal title and make millions upon millions. If it's about winning title, and you're confident you will win, then $500,000 after paying out everyone is amazing money. If it's just about cashing out on a mandatory you think you will lose, then I get why you'd want more.

No offense to the poster you commented on but the term "slave wages" should never be used for getting paid $500,000 for one training camp and a fight.
