Froch: I'm not a fan of Ali's boxing ability

And Froch fans tell us he isn't arrogant.

    Two pretty shocking statements:

    (1) Not a fan of Mohammed Ali's boxing ability

    (2) Ali was disrespectful towards Frazier

This big-nosed Pole has the cheek to talk down on one of the sport's greatest . . . yet he cries and gets the help of a psychologist when Groves exposes him for his epic contradictions.

No surprises he's not a fan based on how he ''boxes'' himself. The truth is that if Froch didn't have the punch resistance he has, he wouldn't even be relevant at 168.

I expect Groves to continue what he did in their first fight, and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the stoppage win. The ref can't save Froch this time

Neither of those are shocking statements.

He said he wasn't a fan of Ali style, not his ability.

"Ali was disrespectful to Frazier" you actually consider that "Shocking"???

Don't really see what the problem is to be honest.

Just because it's Muhammad Ali, it doesn't mean you have to be a fan. He clearly says he's a great fighter, he's just not a fan.

      What's the problem?

A lot of people didn't like Ali because he was disrespectful to Frazier. He went overboard. Why wouldn't it make sense that a fighter of relatively limited athletic ability and a rough, hard working attitude would like Frazier more than Ali?

Froch - Muhammad Ali is a great fighter. Personally i'm not a Muhammad Ali fan.

Nothing wrong with what he said.

He also says he's certainly in his top 5, just not his number 1.

I mean, it's hardly even a criticism Ali.

Funny because Froch's style looks like a very poor, footwork-less, no head movement version of Ali's style. Literally 100s of top boxer's styles is biting off of Ali's style. He has one of the most influential styles of boxing in the history of boxing.

Ali was very disrespectful towards Frazier. Ali ran too much I guess for Froch.

What's Froch's ability got to do with anything?

As a boxing fan I'm offended that a crude wannabe like Froch can say he isn't a fan of Ali's boxing style. If you hold that opinion on Ali, you don't know boxing. Along with Ray Robinson, Ali was one of the greatest fights ever. Froch makes a lot of mistakes and if it wasn't for his chin, he'd be semi relevant. Dirrell, Ward, Kessler, Groves - all beat him IMO. Groves will box the SHlT out of him!
