Nothing Groves is saying is wrong lol. Froch is a technically awful boxer for a guy at the top level. But there is some method to what he does, its just not as easy to see. Groves is actually a beautiful boxer, I love his style. Thats why this fight is so great, such an interesting style clash.

Froch has always been a hard man with next to zero defence, slow and clumsy that's what make his accomplishments so astonishing.

Amen Mr. Groves!! I have been saying this for years and years. Froch is without a doubt the most technically unskilled boxer at this level that I have seen in a very long time. Terrible footwork, slow, garbage defense, poor technique...it is amazing (as someone else mentioned as well) how far a great chin, luck and will take you in this sport. Let's be very clear though, the only fighters at the top level he has ever dominated were Bute and Abraham. Every other one of his fights at this level were very close, were a BS decision or he was losing on all cards before stopping the person. I think Groves beats Froch's ass this time and stops him or wins a decision (unless he is robbed of course). Groves got caught and the ref stopped it. It happens. If Groves fights smart, uses his jab, footwork and infinitely better skills, he pummels Froch to stoppage or a decision.
War Saint!

It might not always look pretty but Froch has been beating world class fighters for years now. Ive seen him dominate behind the jab, ive seen him whip in 4-5 punch combos with power and have nearly all the punches land clean lol. There is clearly a form of skill in what he does. Intangibles alone don't take you to where Froch has been.

Was he "technically terrible" against Arthur Abraham? No. He put on a clinic. He outboxed Kessler from range with the jab in the early stages of their 2nd fight.
Against faster fighters, he can look technically inept because he has to change tack to compensate for his speed disadvantages.

"By the book" isn't always the effective way.
Froch has plenty of flaws, he does plenty of things "Wrong" but he's effective and at the end of the day that is all that matters.
Roy Jones did almost nothing by the book, neither did Ali.
