When Froch fought Bute, many considered Bute the #1 incl SMW. Froch wiped the floor with him. He's then gone on to beat the consensus #3 + George Groves who's now #4/5.

All the while Ward has beaten..............

    No one.
    Because Ward beat Froch!

What in god's name kind of backward ass logic is this? I saw you pedalling this "consensus no1 smw" crap yesterday and I thought you were trolling

Is it reasonable to replace Andre Ward with Carl Froch if Froch beats Groves on saturday?
        absolutely!

Froch annihilated Bute, got vengeance on Kessler and is rematching the best non titlist in the division, in fact, Groves is probably the best fighter at 168 not names Froch or Ward.

Since the S6 Ward took on a weight drained Dawson and Rodriwho?

          So what?

He can hold the #1 spot hostage for ages without fighting, come back fighting bums whilst Froch is cleaning up the division?

          That just doesn't make sense.

When Ward starts fighting and fights top competition, he should be the champ again. He can't live off one win forever.

How do you replace The Ring champ unless you beat him?

Ward's last fight was at light heavy wasn't it? I've no issue with Froch being ranked #1 should he be impressive

One win? Ward already beat everyone in the Super Six you moron.

Do you know how boxing works?

To be the man, you've got to beat the man.

You actually make Froch supporters look ******ed and small time for saying this kind of ****. He got comprehensively beaten by Ward so how can he be ranked above him until he avenges that loss?

                  absolutely spot on!!

the froch win mattered 3 years ago, i think froch is better now, is even hitting harder and doing better in the early rounds. what he did to bute was incredible and a kessler win still means something.

ward has done **** since that night so long ago and doesnt look to be doing anything now either. u cant be number 1 due to something that u did 3 years ago.

                    Because the guy never fights!

So let's say Ward only fights another two times against nobodies until 2017 and Froch beats everyone else - would he still be the champ?

Yes he beat guys in the super six. That was what? 4-5 years ago. Nobody cares anymore - times have changed.

I'm not saying Froch is better or anything like that, but Froch is the one fighting the contenders and defending his belts. Ward is twiddling his thumbs in court.

Oh wait, I got confused. I remember just how Ric Flair used to say it now...

"To be the man....wooooo.....you've gotta lose comprehensively to the man.....wooo......then you've gotta hope the man has legal issues with his promoter and becomes inactive.....wooo.....then you beat a couple of fringe contenders....woooo....and then you're the man....WOOO!"
