It's really a damn shame this top rank/Golden boy Hbo/showtime beef is such a cancer to the sport because we really could of seen some fun match ups.

Hopefully he gets to destroy Rios in November, fight Bradley next spring and maybe close out his career fighting Pacqiuao in winter 2015 so he can go out like a G. He's a incredible comeback fighter who was only expected to be ESPN level but ended up making some noise becoming one of the best fighters at 140-147. I'd hate to see him hang them up so soon especially since Arum has been paying him pennies compared to what he's worth.

It's cool to see somebody retiring before it's late though so I can respect his decision. I hope he can go out with a ****!

This thread exposed all the turds in this forum, anyone who hates Ruslan needs to die in a fire.

        edit*
If he holds true to his word, Ruslan doesn't seem like a liar, we have 2 years left of great fights to come.

        Fights I'd like to see
        Ruslan vs Bradley 2
        Ruslan vs Garcia
        Ruslan vs Broner
        Ruslan vs Pac

2 years , 4 fights , this is my wish list.
Just for the record i dont hate him , JSFD26, was just having a little cry because i said he cuts easy.

I've only seen 4-5 fights from Ruslan. I have only seen him cut once ,vs Alvarado, I don't remember him being cut vs Bradley,(it's been a while since I've watched the fight).

Some people in this thread are saying he has paper skin, can anyone please list me fights they've seen him get bloodied?

well, in fairness, he takes more punishment in victory than most top fighters do when they lose.

you cannot do that forever. the damage you put your brain and internal organs through is something the layman cannot understand. he's taylor made for a short, exciting career.

provodnikov pissed blood after the bradley fight. his face looks like he's taken a career changing beating after virtually every fight.

kudos to him, whatever he decides. he's at his peak, and has just started to earn his dough, so he should definitely keep looking for the biggest possible fights.

he's a badass fighter. it speak more to the poor quality of the divisions that he's had so much success, but that doesn't mean he's not a badass fighter and one of the most exciting fighters in the sport.

this is the thing. he's been looking like this in victory and defeat for years now.

hell, he's probably taken serious damage because of all that sparring with pacquiao and at wildcard.

it's not like this is a guy who can turn it on and box. he's coming forward in the gym, too.
