Ward's Style. . . Love it or Hate it?

Not the most exciting fighter.. But people harp on too much about his style.. He does what he has to do to win.. What people really underrate is his punching.. He wins fights because he is a superb puncher. Fast, accurate and sneaky lacking only KO power.
He is a bit of a whiner but that doesn't take away from his boxing skills, which he has in spades.

I like Ward's style and think he's become more entertaining than people are giving him credit for. How can anyone knock his last three fights with Froch, Dawson and Rodrigues; Ward carried the fight offensively in all those bouts..........

It's incredible, he's got average power at best yet still finds away to completely embarrass his opponent. Take away your favorite fighters power and see how well they fare, pretty impressive.

I love watching him fight. There's a fluidity to what he does that always amazes me. Most fighters have an obvious switch when they change their approach, whether from range to infighting or offense to defense. Ward just goes from one to the other effortlessly.

I love his style, sometimes it's bothersome in that all that grappling is unnecessary but as I keep telling people that has a lot to do with his inside game not being as refined as people think. Still, being able to get off in the clinches like that is an art within itself. Thing I admire about Ward more than anything else is his focus, his awareness is almost too good.
