Puerto Rican prospect Felix "El Diamante" Verdejo allowed the press to watch him train, as he continued to prepare for his upcoming return scheduled for the 7th of June at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Verdejo (12-0, 9 KOs) takes on Mexican Engelbert "Guarura" Valenzuela (8-1, 3 KOs) in a six round bout. The fight will be part of the blockbuster card being headlined by Sergio Martinez's defense of the WBC middleweight crown against former three division world champion Miguel Cotto. Kid is nice. But too early to tell if he is the real deal.

I like the kid, but way too much publicity for a kid that is just fighting 6 rounders. Way too much hype.

The kid is one of the best prospect (if not the best one) in the sport of boxing right now. He deserves e little hype.
