wow I actually had the opportunity to train and hit the pads with him when i was training in high school. He was one of the nicest guys and took a lot of time to train young kids for free at the Atlantic city Pal boxing gym to help youth get off the streets. RIP Champ

I moved to Canada, just across the border from Buffalo, when I was nine. The earliest fight I ever remembered seeing was Saad vs Conteh 2

Being from England, the result kind of ******. But man, Saad was just such a thrilling guy to watch, great era for the light heavies, very inspirational story.
