Its tricky in Floyds case in my opinion. He was facing 34 years or could take a plea and do 3 months and probation. Im taking the plea innocent or not. I may know im innocent but im not rolling the dice. 34 years? Fugg that!!Yet another false comparison.
Banks took a plea deal and plead no contest instead of pleading innocent and going to trial.
Once again - Show me an example of a case going to trial where a man was sentenced to a prison term for assaulting a woman without evidence and without the police beating him into confessing or taking a plea deal because he's a moron.Comment

Mike Tyson was sentenced for sexual assault without physical evidence only the victims word.Completely unrelated to what I was asking for here. The guy in your article was A.) beaten by police into making a confession and B.) accused of ****.
I'm asking for an example of a man being sentenced to a prison term for assaulting a female without evidence. Unfortunately, a forced confession is more than enough to sway a jury's mind in this country.
Still waiting.
And yes, I live in America.
Most of the time with court cases, its best that you to take a plea deal instead of fighting the case, because if you lose, you'll get ALOT of time and its not worth the risk for most people.Comment

As a championship level boxer whose insanely rich? Of course. But do they look up to the chair tossing bar room brawling Floyd? Of course not. To assume such would make me believe someone is an ignoramus. I can't STAND when people judge an entire community they know nothing about just because they go on ****ing worldstar everyday.Comment

So you somehow think the Black friends you had speak for the 2 billion Black people in this world. I can see why you agree with him.You won't find me agreeing with Adam a lot but as far as London is concerned, he's damn right. I grew up with like 90% black friends, still friends with loads of them now and about 60% (conservative estimate) not have dads, most of their single mums try their best but they workin 2 jobs a day, when they gon see their kids?
No male role model, no mother at home, who they turn to? Fools like Tupac, Jayz, Kanya, Lamar, this fool Floyd and TI, thats who they turn to. Thats their music, thats their sporting hero, like it or not, generalisation or not, its a damn fact.
Edit: just last week I was on the tube (underground train) where two ****** wanabe, Afro-American "bad men" were talking about how they were going to "break out" and "get rich" but still 2neevr leave the hood"...this **** happening in London England, where hip hop is only a fraction as influential as it is in American culture, day to day life and sports.Comment

Who said they were role models? And why would it be based on a fight at fatburger? You mean to tell me that when TI raps about guns, drugs, b*tches then it's whatever but as soon as he gets into a fight you wanna turn into a preacher on a boxing forum? Just shut up.Comment

No, it's not.
An accuser's statements =/= circumstantial evidence.anything circumstantial can be evidence...so obviously in every sexual assault case...the woman is accusing the man of doing it..that is evidence...so your point is really not worth much...
The Duke Lacrosse team were found innocent. How many have lied about sexual assault charges...who knows? according to DNA evidence...a lot...I can name Tupac and Mike Tyson as examples of claims where there was very shaky evidence... but there are so many cases...the problem is prosecutors never prosecute women for lying they just let them go free...look at the Duke Lacrosse team scandal...among so many others..
I'm not familiar at all with the 2pac **** trial, so I'll refrain from commenting on it, but there was more than enough circumstantial evidence in the Tyson trial to warrant a conviction and, when I say "circumstantial evidence", I mean more than just the testimony of Desiree Washington.Comment

For the record, I believe Mayweather smacked up his ex-girlfriend. It's not something he has denied, just something he has chalked up to a mistake.Yet another false comparison.

That being said, your line of reasoning is flawed. Assaults are not like murder, where an individual stands to lose a significant portion of their life in prison. A lot of people charged with assault, against a man or woman, will accept a plea bargain.
It's an area of law that frustrates me to an extent, as it can pressurise innocent people in to pleading guilty, through the threat of a more severe sentence, or it can enable individuals to get off lightly.
Anyway, the evidence you're asking for will be difficult to come by because most people will just accept a plea bargain and move on with their life. If they accept a plea bargain, they typically forsake their right to an appeal.Comment

Then maybe your ire should be focused toward society.I agree, but the kids cant control if mommy or daddy is around... But they should look up to guys that have turned a negative into a positive... There are thousands of successful black entrepreneurs but society only focuses on idiots like floyd and TI and the kids think thats the way to act... Its really sad
This post reeks of naivete. Tell me, how many kids have you met that told you they look up to TI? Do you think robbing and killing goes on in poor neighborhoods because they're emulating rap songs? Or is it vice versa? I think you need to step back from the computer and stop with your pontificating because you just don't know what you're talking about and it keeps getting worse with each post I read.Comment
