Gamboa is going to have to be really responsible defensively, because he likes to jump in and out often with his hands down and that could be really costly against the rangier guy would could catch him on the way in or especially out.

He needs to really keep his hands up as much as possible and he should really just press all the way in when he decides to jump in rather than trying to get back out.

I'm part Cuban and want Gamboa to win; but Crawford is a tough cookie to crack. He's beaten Danny Garcia in the amateurs also.
Use his speed and move his feet. When he stops to throw, throw with the meanest of intentions.

Problem is, who knows if he's on his game?
Gamboa has always had problems with getting motivated for fights. However, this is a showcase fight for him and I don't see motivation being a problem here.
Gamboa comes into this fight in shape and overwhelms the talented Crawford.

Gamboa needs to just fight to his ability and not lose focus. Gamboa really has special qualities but has suffered from terrible career management. He tends to fight to his oponents ability but still, he has big power but he's undersized at this weight class in addition to Crawford being big. If Gamboa can be focused for an entire fight and really bring it he should win. But he gets lazy in the ring sometimes (reminds me of Donaire) or just bored and starts making ****** decisions... Crawford is the truth and that shouldnt be an issue. The ref will play a big part in this fight with how much he'll allow in terms of clinching. Crawford should be good enough to exploit his size and strength if he's allowed and if he plays it safe when he has to he should be able ti catch Gamboa getting dumb and maybe flash KD him... I can see Gamboa hitting the canvas.

        This fight is VERY interesting.
Indeed, this is one of the better fights you will see all year. There is no doubt that Gamboa has beaten the better opposition but I'm not sure he has fought anyone as talented as Terrance Crawrod in the pro ranks.

Punch with Crawford. Differ his punch speeds, get Crawford to "counter" and come back with his own counter shot at the same time.

after such a long hiatus by gamboa and to get in there with crawford is all wrong for the cuban. crawford has shown most everything you want in a champion, albeit for how he can take a solid punch, but i don't see this ending with gamboa's 0 still intact. we already know that crawford is the truth and that gamboa has unlimited talent, but the mental edge, which i think is what this fight will come down to, is all crawford.

Use his hand speed and angles. He needs to be on his A game. I like Gamboa, but I'm picking Crawford to win.

I picked Crawford by blowout when the fight was announced but if Gamboa comes with his A game he's going to be very hard to beat. I can't get over all his inactivity though, only 2 fights in the last 3 years

This fight and Russell vs lomochenko are the most interesting fights coming up, because everyone involved is untested and unknown in truely big fights
