I don't like watching Ward fight but he cleaned out the SMW divison 2-3 years ago pretty comfortably and since then, the champions of the SMW division have only got weaker.
The only reason why Ward doesn't fight big names is because he's been promoted all wrong which means he doesn't generate good money to pay big names to take that risk.Comment

Right. So he cleaned out the division back in 2011. And it's not his fault he doesn't fight the big names now, it's just that nobody wants to watch him, yeah?I don't like watching Ward fight but he cleaned out the SMW divison 2-3 years ago pretty comfortably and since then, the champions of the SMW division have only got weaker.

So now, whatever Froch or anybody else does, they're just belt holders and Ward is the champion ... and he stays champion forever ... without fighting anybody ... is that how it works?Comment

If Ward is #2 p4p, then surely he is the best SMW on the planet. He easily beat the #2 in Froch, so there shouldn't be any argument.
As for Groves, i wonder about his weight. I think he struggles to make 168. It's well documented that draining yourself to make weight can affect stamina and punch resistance, but can he win a title at light-heavy?Comment

Ward fought the best available guy he hadn't already beat late last year and that's considered being inactive enough to not be THE champion lmao.
He is lineal by definition and he is clearly the champion in the division.
He can still fight despite his lawsuits against goosen not paying his co-promoter. Only Kesslers team has made an offer to face ward.......Comment
