Well the FACT is no one landed as many punches as Maidana did in that fight, and Floydie was easily as beat up afterwards as he was vs Cotto.

2nd point, even if Maidana landed more punches than any of Floyd's previous opponents he still LOST the fight (according to 98% of media sources). It was a close fight sure but bottom line is Maidana lost just like the other 45 guys that tried. He gets credit for giving Floyd hell for sure but he did lose.

So again, why look for smaller gloves to fight Floyd? Because it's the only way he can hurt Floyd.
