Comments Thread For: Mayweather Sr: Amir Khan Got Nothing on Floyd, Nothing

Floyd Mayweather Sr., father and trainer of WBA/WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs). doesn't see anything threatening about the style or fighting ability of British star Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs).

The two fighters were both featured on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather headlined the event, winning a tough decision over Marcos Maidana, and Khan was in the co-feature - dropping Luis Collazo three times for a unanimous verdict from the judges.

A very limited boxer but with a great determination, balls and hard hitter showed the world to stop bring the too much respect boxers are bringing to FLOYD in the ring and FLOYD will be close to lose...FACT!!! With EVERLAST MX i believe CHINO would have seriously hurt FLOYD's ribs in the fight;anyway CHINO showed to not bring FLOYD too much respect,we'll see if the next opponents will do it !!!

Well I wouldn't of believed you but you did convince me twice. One,you said fact, since you said its a fact I guess well just throw away the definition of fact and make it true.
The second thing that convinced me is when you said "I believe" again u do believe it so its gotta be true. I wish the world really worked this way . Before I knock out I'd say to my self im gonna wake up rich FACT and not one but three exclamation points will triple everything so I'll be triple fact rich.

In my opinion Khan is a legit threat to Mayweather. People seriously underrate Khan on here and other boxing forums, it seems like people have made their minds up regarding Khan a long time ago. Dude only has 2 legit losses his entire career and was once the Unified champion at 140.

Khan is a talented boxer. What boxers have gave Floyd problems? Ur not out boxing Floyd. Just the point that khan has to hold when he gets on the inside shows his boxing iq isn't near the level it takes to beat Floyd.

I agree but still he's a threat to any fighter with the kind of handspeed he has, atleast for the first 4-5 rounds, people on here say that Floyd would KO Khan inside 4 rounds, which is ridiculous in my opinion.

Well the FACT is no one landed as many punches as Maidana did in that fight, and Floydie was easily as beat up afterwards as he was vs Cotto. And perhaps you forget that stunned look on Floydie's face at the end of round 4? Face it, your hero's days are numbered.

Sr is obviously blowing smoke. Trying to make it sound like the only reason Maidana did anything with Floydie was because of his weight. I know he has to keep Floydie happy or he could be fired at a second's notice, but still, time to face reality. Khan, love him or hate him, IS a serious threat. Not saying he'd win, but he has skills and tremendous speed, and Floydie wouldn't get past him nearly as easily as he beat Guerrero or Canelo.
